Azerbaijan used cluster bombs in Karabakh, British MP states

The international community must finally realize that Nagorno-Karabakh must be a negotiator, rather than a negotiated entity, Caroline Cox, a member of the British House of Lords, told RFE/Liberty Radio.

She considers wrong Azerbaijanթ§Չ‚-Չ„§s efforts preventing involvement of Karabakh in the talks concerning its future. Baroness Cox says she understands and supports Armenians of Karabakh who will be unable to live under Azerbaijanթ§Չ‚-Չ„§s rule, as they have experienced a lot.թ‚Թ

The world does not know anything about what happened in Karabakh during hostilities. Unlike the Armenian side, Azerbaijan made a fuss over Khojali, although the Maraga events were even worse թ§Չ‚-Չ€œ that was a crime against humanity, Cox said. She recalled she saw beheaded and burnt bodies of Armenians in Maraga on April 10, 1992. She stressed the Armenian side must tell the world about how Azerbaijan used cluster bombs in Karabakh. She urged the Armenian side to tell the world about what happened in the early 1990s, as the international community believes Azerbaijan.

The international community must understand that Azerbaijan made an abortive attempt of ethnic cleansing and pursued a policy of deporting Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.

She also touched on the Armenian-Turkish process. Cox welcomed Armeniaթ§Չ‚-Չ„§s willingness to establish relations with Turkey. However, resuming relations is a great present for Turkey, a country has always displayed its typical behavior. Turkeyթ§Չ‚-Չ„§s real worth should be disclosed, Cox said.

Baroness Caroline Cox paid her 70th visit to Nagorno-Karabakh late this May.
