Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Friends,
on 10 August 2010 our human rights colleague DoթժԴan AkhanlթԹ՞ was arrested and charged as he entered Turkey. Since 20 August, he is in solitary confinement in Tekirdag and looks forward to a highly dubious criminal procedure.
As a writer and human rights advocate Dogan Akhanli worked for the recognition of genocides committed in the 20th Century and against the denial of these crimes. Among many achievements he developed new ways of cross-cultural genocide education. Details of the legal background, the literary and human rights activities of DoթժԴan Akhanl and also of the possibilities of his support are to be found in the attached “fact sheet” or on our sites http://www.aga-online.org/de/aktionen/detail.php on our website? newsid = 395
